Heard Mr. I Hussain, learned counsel for the petitioner. Also heard Mr. S C Keyal, learned Assistant S.G.I. appearing for the respondent No. 1, Mr. A Kalita, learned Special Standing Counsel, Foreigners Tribunal appearing for the respondent Nos. 2, 4 and 5, Mr. A I Ali, learned Standing counsel, Election Commission of India appearing for the respondent No. 3 and Ms. A Verma, learned Standing counsel, NRC appearing for the respondent No. 6.
Issue notice of motion, returnable in 2 (two) months.
No formal steps are called for, as the respondents are duly represented. However, extra copies of the petition will be served on the learned counsel appearing for the respective respondents.
Registry will call for the records of F.T. (8) Case No. 1361/2017 from the Foreigners Tribunal (8), Sonitpur, Thelamara, Assam.
