| This petition was filed by Smt. Sonia Mehndiratta, | ||
| $\sum_{\Gamma}$ | mother of Master Deepansh in which a prayer has been made | |
| that respondent be directed to produce Master Deepansh and | ||
| custody be restored to her. During the pendency of the petition, | ||
| Smt. Sonia Mehndiratta expired and an application was moved by | ||
| the father of Smt. Sonia Mehndiratta (Satish Chandra) for the | ||
| substitution which was allowed vide orders dated 16 <sup>th</sup> December, | ||
| 2002. | ||
| In pursuance to the directions of the court, Master | ||
| Deepansh was produced in court on 20 <sup>th</sup> January, 2003. We | ||
| talked to the child and the child looked quite confident that he | ||

| wanted to go with his maternal grand-father (Satish Chandra). | ||
| After considering all the facts and circumstances of the case the | ||
| custody of the child was given to Satish Chandra, maternal | ||
| grand-father. | ||
| Learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submits | ||
| that if the paternal grand parents would like to visit they would | ||
| be at liberty to visit any time at the residence of the petitioner. | ||
| Learned counsel appearing for the petitioner further assures that | ||
| Master Deepansh would be admitted in a good school and his | ||
| welfare would be looked after. | ||
| It may be pertinent to mention that during the life | ||
| ,<br>time, Smt. Sophia Mehndiratta purchased a Janta flat at G-5/242, | ||
| Rohini. Learned counsel for the parties have no objection if the | ||
| flat is given on rent by the petitioner. The rent would, of course, | ||
| be utilised for the welfare of the child, Master Deepansh. | ||
| No further directions are necessary in this habeas<br>corpus petition and this writ petition is accordingly disposed of. | ||
