WRIT PETITION NO.11688 OF 2016
ORDER:
This is a Writ of Mandamus filed by the petitioner seeking for a direction to the 3rd respondent incontinuing the Rowdy Sheet No.189, dated 28.09.2004 against the petitioner, as illegal and improper.

Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and learned Government Pleader for Home.

Learned Government Pleader submits that the orders may be passed on merits.

Learned counsel for the petitioner placed reliance on the judgment of Sunkara Satyanarayana v. State of A.P. and others1 in paras 88, 89 and 90, and submits that, there are no criminal cases pending against the petitioner, and no review has been conducted in this case for extension of rowdy sheet against the petitioner, and therefore, sought for quashing the proceeding's for continuing rowdy sheet against the petitioner.

In view of the submissions made by the learned counsel for the petitioner, and in view of the fact that, no criminal case is pending against the petitioner, and in the light of the judgment referred in Sunkara Satyanarayana's case (supra), the 3rd respondent is directed to delete the name

of the petitioner from the Rowdy Sheet No.189, dated 28.09.2004 on the file of Station House Officer, Old Guntur Law and Order Police Station forthwith.
- With the above observation, this Writ Petition is disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
Miscellaneous Petitions, if any pending, shall also stand closed.
