ORDER:

This Criminal Petition is filed by the petitioner/Accused No.1 under Section 482 of Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973, seeking quash of the proceedings in C.C.No.370 of 2023 on the file of leaned Judicial Magistrate of First Class, Hindupur, Ananthapur District.

  1. Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and learned Assistant Public Prosecutor representing the State.

  1. Learned Assistant Public Prosecutor representing the State takes notice.

  2. Learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner is an accused in C.C.No.370 of 2023 on the file of leaned Judicial Magistrate of First Class, Hindupur, Ananthapur District, for the offence under Section 498-A, r/w 34 I.P.C. and Sections <sup>3</sup> and 4 of Dowry Prohibition Act, 1961. He would further submit that the case is coming for trial before the learned Magistrate, and the only grievance of the petitioner is that the case is being adjourned from time to time causing agony to the petitioner, and in that view of the matter trial Court may be directed to dispose of the case as expeditiously as possible.

  3. Considering submissions made by the learned counsel for the petitioner, and in view of the facts and circumstances of the case, the criminal petition can be disposed of at the stage of admission, by directing the learned Magistrate to dispose of the C.C.No.370 of 2023, which is pending on the file of leaned Judicial Magistrate of First Class, Hindupur, Ananthapur District, as expeditiously as possible.

  4. Accordingly, the Criminal Petition is disposed of at the stage of admission.

As <sup>a</sup> sequel, miscellaneous applications pending, if any, shall stand closed.
