IN THE HIGH COURT OF ANDHRA PRADESH AT AMARAVATI (Special Original Jurisdiction)

[3459]

TUESDAY, THE TWENTY THIRD DAY OF JULY TWO THOUSAND AND TWENTY FOUR

PRESENT

THE HONOURABLE SMT JUSTICE SUMATHI JAGADAM WRIT PETITION TRANSFERED FROM APAT NO: 62/2023

Between:

O.Prameela ...PETITIONER

AND

State of Andhra Pradesh and Others ...RESPONDENT(S)

Counsel for the Petitioner:

1.POODATTU AMARENDER

Counsel for the Respondent(S):

1.GP FOR SCHOOL EDUCATION (SER.)

The Court made the following:

ORDER:

Sri P. Amarender, learned counsel for the petitioner, appeared through virtual mode and submitted that against the order passed by the Andhra Pradesh Administrative Tribunal in O.A.No.339 of 2016, dated 06.06.2016, the petitioner has preferred a writ petition vide W.P.No.19097 of 2016.

  1. The Division Bench of this Court allowed W.P.Nos.19097 & 19106 of 2016 by a common order with the following direction:

"Considering the fact that the petitioners are continuing as Assistant Directors in the state of Andhra Pradesh under the directions of this Court granted in the previous Writ Petitions, we are of the opinion that their discontinuance from the posts they are presently holding would cause serious injury to their interests. Hence, we find the elements of balance of convenience and irreparable injury in favour of the petitioners for their continuance in the aforementioned posts in the State of Andhra Pradesh. Accordingly, the Writ Petitions are allowed and the respondents are directed to continue the petitioners as Assistant Directors in the state of Andhra Pradesh, pending disposal of the O.As."

    1. In view of the orders passed by the Division Bench of this Court, the petitioners were continued and retired from the service.
    1. Accordingly, the Writ Petition (AT) is disposed of. No order as to costs.

As a sequel, miscellaneous petitions, if any, pending shall stand closed.
