The Appeal coming on for hearing, upon perusing the Petition and the affidavit filed in support thereof and the order of the High Court order dated 14.10.2024 made herein and upon hearing the arguments of Special Government Pleader I for the Petitioners and Sri Devalaraju Anil Kumar, Advocate for the Respondent No.1, the Court made the following;

ORDER:

"The Registrar of the University is present."

It is submitted by the Special Government Pleader that the communication appears to have been pursuant to a decision of the Vice Chancellor to withdraw the cases and that the orders have been complied in the case of contempt proceedings and that he is presently instructed by the Registrar to contest the appeal on merits.

The developments are unhealthy and is a reflection on the System.

Hence, the records relating to the decision and the provisions enabling the Vice Chancellor or the Registrar to withdraw the cases also be placed before the Court.
