Petition under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying that in the circumstances stated in the affidavit filed therewith, the High Court may be pleased to issue an appropriate Writ, Order or Direction more particularly one in the nature of Writ of Quo Warranto, setting aside the appointment of Prof. Dr. Korukonda Babji as the Vice-Chancellor of Dr. Y S R University of Health Sciences, Vijayawada vide impugned proceeding G.O.Rt.No.I26, Health Medical and Family Welfare(C2), dt.10-02-2023 issued by Respondent No.I for a period of three(3) years from the date of his assumption of office, under Sub-Section(I) of Section 12(1) of Dr. Y S R
University of Health Sciences Act,1986( Act No.6 of 1986) and Gazette ' Notification W.No.6, Dt.13'^ February, 2023 issued by the Chancellor of Dr. Y S R University of Health Sciences and Governor of Andhra Pradesh, is in conflict with and not in consonance with the University Grants Commission(UGC) Regulations,2018 (Regulation No.7.3 (ii) and (iii) and is in clear breach of the procedure established by law and declare the said appointment as patently illegal, unconstitutional and void ab initio from the date of appointments date of notification issued by the Appointing Authority.
