Petition under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying that in the circumstances stated in the affidavit filed therewith, the High Court may be pleased to issue a Writ, order or direction more particularly one in the nature of Writ of Mandamus declaring the action of the 1st Respondent in reconstituting the Screening Committee vide G.O. Rt. No. 282, Water Resources (Services-1) Department dated 3.6.2020 as illegal, arbitrary, unconstitutional and contrary to G.O.Ms.No.230 GAD (Ser D) Department dt. 22-05-1999 and G.O.Ms.No.275 GAD (Ser D) Department dt.21-06-1999 and orders in W.P.No. 9215/2020 dated 28.5.2020 and set aside the same and consequently declare that any action taken or any proceedings issued by the Respondents pursuant to the reconstitution of the screening committee is null and void. IA NO: 1 OF 2020

Petition under Section 151 CPC praying that in the circumstances stated in the affidavit filed in support of the petition, the High Court may be pleased to stay all further proceedings issued in pursuance of G.O. Rt. No. 282, Water Resources (Services-I) Department dated 3.6.2020 issued by Respondents, pending disposal of WP 9993 of 2020, on the file of the High Court.

The petition coming on for hearing, upon perusing the Petition and the order of High Court dated 17-06-2020 made upon hearin upon hearing the arguments of Smt. A Chaya Devi, Advocate for the Petitioners and Sri Bhimarao, learned Government Pleader for Services – III for Respondents, the Court made the following. ORDER

"It is represented on behalf of learned Additional Advocate General that he is instructed to appear on behalf of the Government in this writ petition as well as the connected writ petitions i.e.

and W.P.No.9981 of 2020 and that the matter may be heard on day after tomorrow.

The learned counsel for the petitioners in this matter submits that this Court by an order, dated 17.06.2020, directed that the screening committee may continue with this process but however, it shall not finalize any seniority list fixing the inter se seniority between the officers in the Department and that the order is expiring today. Since the matter requires consideration of the issues raised on filing counter affidavits by the respective respondents, the interim orders granted by this Court dated 17.06.2020 are extended by one (01) week.

List the writ petition along with above connected cases on 29.06.2020.

Office is directed to print the name of learned Additional Advocate General in all these matters."
