Petition under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying that in the circumstances stated in the affidavit filed therewith, the High Court may be pleased to issue a Writ, Order or direction more in the nature of Mandamus declaring that the appointment of the petitioner to the post of Assistant
Professor in History & Archaeology in the 3<sup>rd</sup> Respondent University is on regular basis for all purposes from the date of appointment i.e.11-8-2010 with regular pay scales duly declaring the orders issued by the Government in G.O.Ms.No.41 Higher Education (UE) Department dated 30-6-2017 in reducing the cadre strength of Assistant Professors to the Department of History & Archaeology and taking steps to fill up the post of Assistant Professor by issuing notification is illegal, arbitrary and violates Article 14,16 and 21 of the Constitution of India.
These petition coming on for hearing, upon perusing the Petition and the affidavit filed in support thereof and earlier orders of the High Court dated.07.04.2022, 21.04.2022, 19.09.2017, 04.01.2024 & 05.02.2024 made herein and upon hearing the arguments of Sri P. V. RAMANA Advocate for the Petitioner and of the Govt. Pleader for Higher Education for respondent Nos. 1 and 2, and of SRI MURALI LINCOLN, Standing Counsel for the Respondent No.3, and of SRI P.PONNA RAO, Standing Counsel for the Respondent No.4, the Court made the following
ORDER:
"At request of both the learned counsel, post the matter on 18.04.2024.
Interim order granted earlier is extended by four (04) weeks."
