ORDER :

This Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India seeking the following relief:

"….to issue an appropriate writ, order or direction, more particularly one in the name of writ of mandamus, declaring the action of the respondents in not considering the petitioner

representation dated 23.06.2017 and 03.10.2018 for revised of pension to those who retired between 01.01.2006 to 30.09.2008 consequent on implementation of A P revised UGC pay scales 2006 as per G.O.Ms.No.148 and G.O.Ms.No.246 arbitrary, discriminatory, unjust and contrary to law violation of Article 14, 16 and 21 of constitution of India and consequently direct the respondents to consider the petitioner's representation dated 23.6.2017 and 03.10.2018 and sanction the revised pay scale to the retired teachers from 01.01.2006 to 30.09.2008 and other benefits to the petitioner association and to pass such other order or orders….".

  1. Heard Sri P.V.Venkata Ravi Sankar, learned counsel for the petitioner and Sri K.V.Raghuveer, learned Government Pleader for Higher Education for respondent Nos.1 & 3 and Sri Butta Vijay Bhaskar, learned Standing counsel for respondent No.2.

  2. When the matter is taken up for hearing, learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the representations made by the petitioner dated 23.06.2017 and 03.10.2018 are still pending with the authorities. The Court may pass appropriate orders giving direction to respondent No.2 to dispose of the representation as per governing rules and law.

  3. Learned Government Pleader fairly conceded that, that being the case, Court may direct respondent No.2 who is the appropriate authority to attend the representations which are pending before them.

  4. In that view of the matter, it is apposite to direct respondent No.2 to dispose of the representations dated 23.06.2017 and 03.10.2018, which are pending for consideration according to governing rules and law, within a period of two months from the date of receipt of copy of this order.

  5. Accordingly, the Writ Petition is disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.

As a sequel thereto, miscellaneous petitions pending, if any, shall stand closed.
