WRIT PETITION No.807 of 2020

ORDER:

In this Writ Petition, the petitioners question the action of respondent No.2 (District Collector, Kurnool) in not disposing of either the stay application or appeal, as being illegal and arbitrary.

Aggrieved by the action of respondent No.3 (Tahsildar, Adoni, Kurnool), in mutating the names of third parties in respect of land admeasuring Ac.0.95 cents in Sy.No.30/A, Salakala Konda Village, Adoni Mandal, Kurnool, the petitioners filed an appeal on 19.11.2019, along with interlocutory application, before respondent No.2. The petitioners' grievance is that respondent No.2 has not passed any orders either in the appeal or stay application. Hence the writ petition.

Learned counsel for the petitioners submits that no orders are passed either in the appeal or stay application filed by the petitioners and the same are pending consideration before respondent No.2.

Learned Government Pleader for Revenue, on instructions, would submit that final orders would be passed in the appeal preferred by the petitioners before respondent No.2 expeditiously.

I consider it appropriate, therefore, to direct respondent No.2 to dispose of the appeal preferred by the petitioners, if it

is still pending, strictly in accordance with law, as expeditiously as possible.

The Writ Petition is, accordingly, disposed of. The Miscellaneous Petition pending, if any, shall also stand disposed of. However, in the circumstances, without costs.
